This CJ was purchased as a custom order from Collings.   The "Vintage Now" neck, along with its Martin style headstock not only looks great, but allows for a wider string spacing at the bridge.   A unigue combination, and the playing feel, for both finger-style and pick playing, is excellent.   The tone: wonderful. glassy clarity with depth.

Included in the photos is a snapshot of the Brazilian set that was selected for its construction.   A very special straight-grained (quarter-sawn) set, with beautiful highlights and sheen.

Aside from a small scratch in the varnish shown in a couple of the photos, on the lower, bottom bout of the top (from contact with a condensor-microphone spider cage, while recording), the guitar remains in excellent condition.
